Teenage weight gain; Lifelong medical issues

Here's the latest word on what researchers have to say about being overweight as a teenager... more specifically obese.
There are other medical issues it leads to, even Multiple Sclerosis, as an adult.

The 40 year study followed 238 thousand women.

The results show, the girls who were obese at the age of 18 had twice the risk of developing MS, compared to women who were slimmer at that age.

The study considered a B-M-I of 30 or higher when labeling women as obese.

What do you think?  Do you have an overweight teen?  Were you one?  Are you relatively healthy  now?
