Mom's voice reduces stress!

Does talking to your mom calm you down, or stress you out?
Well, for the first time there's a study out that shows a mothers voice can actually LOWER stress levels!  How about that!

The findings could shed light, not only on the way the brain works - but also on the way language and relationships evolve, says Seth Pollak of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and co-author of the study, published today in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences.

The study says, stress hormones drop 'when a person hears moms voice'.  One example given was, what they noticed in children after a stressful situation.
They had the kids do math problems and give a speech before an audience.  At the end of it, the children were allowed to either see their mom - or talk with her on the phone... and what do you know... THEIR STRESS LEVELES DROPPED!

So, the next time your kid makes you feel like you're stressing them out... take heart!
