Kids Nutrition

As more and more restaurants add the calorie count to the items available on menus - do you think it's helpful, or a waste of time?
Well, it turns out, maybe parents are at least referring to them when it comes to ordering for the kids - and keeping them healthy.

There's a new study out of the Seattle Children's Research Institute, that shows the calorie counts on 'childrens' menus are making a difference.

They asked parents of 99 young kids to select a McDonald's meal for the kids.
Half of them received menus with calorie values, the other half only had regular picture menus to refer to.
So, guess what... the parents who could see the nutritional information chose meals that had 102 fewer calories overall, for the kids.
You can image how, overtime, that can really add - cutting calories - and raising healthier kiddos!

What do you think?
